Interview with Mattia Polo, founder of Real Estate Polo.

How was Polo Real Estate created?

I always knew I wanted to become a real estate agent, it's part of my family's history, starting with my father. In fact, since I was a child, I followed him during weekend visits and, once school was over, I started working in the family agency. However, I felt the need to also deepen the entrepreneurial aspect of this sector: for this reason I moved to Milan, where I worked at BNP Paribas Real Estate, dealing with assets for corporate and institutional clients.

After a period of freelancing, I joined the Casavo team and, in 2021, I founded Real Estate Polo, with the aim of bringing a different approach to the real estate market. Since then, we have experienced constant growth, almost doubling our sales every year.

What is the team made up of and where do you operate?

Our team consists of professionals with complementary skills: Lorenzo, who coordinates the activities, Sofia and Riccardo, real estate agents who are experts in the area. We operate throughout Florence And province, including the hinterland, accompanying customers at every stage of the sale.

What are the characteristics of the Florence real estate market?

The Florentine real estate market is solid and stable, characterized by low variable prices and limited construction of new properties due to urban constraints.

  • Historical center: a safe but expensive investment, with average prices ranging from €4,700 to €7,500 per square meter.

  • Expanding areas: areas such as Bath in Ripoli, Gavinana and Novoli offer interesting opportunities, thanks to new transport links and urban redevelopment projects.

Investing in the center guarantees stability, while focusing on developing suburbs can offer higher returns in the medium to long term.

Real estate and technology: where are we?

The real estate market is traditionally poorly digitized, but it has enormous potential for innovation. Often, sellers belong to generations less used to the use of technology, but In the coming years we will witness an important generational transition: it will be the moment when digitalization and innovation can make the difference.

Why did you decide to join Casavo?

For me, Casavo was a point of reference from the start. Tell us about a sale that has remained in your heart

One of the experiences I remember with the most satisfaction concerns a complex sale managed together with Casavo. The customers came from Canada and there were various bureaucratic difficulties related to the documents and the tight deadlines of the draft.

Thanks to the problem solving skills and determination of the Casavo team, we were able to solve every problem and successfully conclude the sale. Today, those customers aren't just former buyers, but friends.: every time they return to Florence we meet, we celebrate birthdays together and even harvest olives. This episode best represents our philosophy: to transform every real estate transaction into a lasting relationship of trust.
