“Knowing that you would renovate the property made me happy.”

Gianluca

Good morning Gianluca, can you tell us a little about yourself and your old house?

The house wasn't my property, but it was my grandparents' house. When I was 18, they decided to put it in my name because I was their only grandchild; then many years ago it was My grandfather passed away, and then my grandmother. I thought about it for a while, for about a year I'd say, after which I decided to put it up for sale.

I was undecided for a long time: the house is in a central location, in a nice area, also close to my office. Given that that needed major renovations, and I personally prefer to live outside the chaos of the city, I decided that it wasn't the right house for me, and so I preferred to put it up for sale.

Gianluca

Had you also considered renovate it and rent it out?

Yes, actually there were various options, one of which was to rent it out, especially since it's an area very well served by public transport, and therefore could also be attractive to university students. However, I was discouraged by the idea of having to deal with tenants and all the potential difficulties that can be encountered with a rental property. Another option could have been to transform it into a Bed & Breakfast, but I wouldn't have physically had the time to dedicate to that.

When you approached the sale, Casavo was Was this your first option for doing so?

No, honestly not. I initially looked for real estate agencies, trusting the agency that seemed most capable of selling the project to a potential buyer. It was a house that needed to be completely renovated, so I needed to know how to market it. Then actually, it was Casavo that found me! Casavo contacted the agency I had entrusted to sell the property and that's how the adventure with you began.

What is Casavo? What was your first impression of Casavo?

Actually, I never met the Casavo team directly, as everything was mediated by my agency. So I only encountered Casavo's "offer." My first impression, however, was a bit skeptical; it was something new, something I didn't know. The idea that a company would buy my house so quickly left me a bit perplexed, to the point of thinking there was something going on. So I decided to do some research and catch up on things. of information, I then also saw some articles in the Sole24Ore, and this gave me confidence and reassured me, so I decided to go ahead with the sales process.

Gianluca

How do you like it? like the sales process?

Honestly, the model is not It was complicated to understand, it seemed quite clear to me. Before that, I had had the opportunity to recover all the forms and documentation necessary for the sale, and I must say it was the most complex phase because, being the first time I was selling a house, I had to study everything carefully, also with the support of the agency to which I had entrusted the sales mandate. In the end, however, I managed to understand every aspect, and despite the initial complexities, my impression was that I was dealing with a great organization. I must say that this reassured me a lot.

As for the promise of "sell the house in 30 days," it was Was it respected?

Yes, certainly, even too much I would say! I didn't know about the speed of the process, and I was in no hurry to sell. I was waiting to receive an offer that matched my expectations. So I must say that at first all this speed scared me a little, I wondered why they wanted to conclude the transaction in such a short time. Later, after doing some research, I understood that Casavo, by doing this in an industrialized way, is able to significantly reduce the process times and this, from a certain point of view, can be a good idea. be a great advantage.

Speaking specifically of the offer you received, did it meet your expectations regarding the selling price?

Initially my expectations regarding the selling price were slightly higher, but I have to be honest, in the 5 months in which the property was on sale, the offers I received were absolutely in line with the one I then received from Casavo, so I would say that the offer was certainly in line with the market response.

Gianluca

So what are the reasons why you chose Casavo?

Let's say that perhaps Casavo is It came at just the right time, in the sense that if I had received the offer right away, I don't know if I would have accepted it, but then, in reality, once I had calibrated myself on the real market value of my home, putting together the various offers I had received previously, I realized that it was an offer consistent with its value. Another reason why I chose to sell to Casavo was knowing that you would renovate the house, and this made me happy: I was very emotionally attached to it, and knowing that it would return to a new life made me happy.

Finally, the fact of dealing with an innovative startup, with many new ideas to introduce into the company It made me feel 'up to date' and encouraged me even more to trust you.

So can we say that you were satisfied with having sold to Casavo?

Yes, and pleasantly surprised! Everything went exactly as planned, within the agreed timeframe, and there were no complications!

Thank you Gianluca for this interview and good luck for the future!
