Stefano, can you tell us something about your old house that you sold to Casavo?
I decided to sell because I wanted to get closer to my daughter who lives in Lambrate, on the other side of Milan. The house I sold was in fact located in the QT8 area, it was not convenient to travel from there to reach it. To get closer, I decided that the best thing was to sell it and move to the area.
Casavo è Was this your first option when you decided to sell your house?
I had placed the ad with an agency for a few months, but I didn't get much feedback, I couldn't find the right buyer.
And then?
One day, almost by chance, while I was on Facebook, I saw an ad for Casavo for the first time. I decided to look into it further and, after visiting the site, I filled out the form to get the algorithmic valuation of the property.
One of your colleagues, Elisabetta, then called me to make an appointment and visit the apartment.
What is your first impression? Casavo? How did you find our sales process?
I must say that everything was quite clear to me right away, especially regarding the sales process. I had some doubts about one of the last steps of the process, but your colleagues were able to answer all my questions, as well as those of my lawyer, with whom I wanted to consult. We wanted to understand what the technical details were because the process is innovative, but we quickly clarified all the points.
Did these steps lengthen the process? Did they? Was the promise "sell your house in 30 days" kept?
I sold my house in Casavo after just over a month, just enough time to get all the necessary documents. I could have closed everything in even less time, but we had some problems getting a document that was quite fundamental for the sale. It was a house that I had inherited and therefore required specific documentation. We were lucky to get this certificate in just a few days, also thanks to the helpfulness of a municipal employee. In reality, this procedure could have delayed the operation by over a month, because we would have had to wait a full 5 weeks to obtain the document!
In the end it was about thirty days,we saw each other for the first time at the end of January and on February 28th we were already to the notary for the deed.
What made you choose Casavo?
I must say that the speed and guarantees offered by Casavo were fundamental to the sale. In fact, when I put the apartment up for sale with the agency, the price was slightly higher. When I received Casavo's offer, I decided that, even if I had to lower the price slightly, I would have the possibility of easily closing the deal.
By selling to Casavo, did you give up part of your profit?
It's clear that if you're not in a hurry to sell, by leaving the property on the market for a long time, you can fully capitalize on the property's value. The downside of those who want to sell quickly is having to accept a slightly lower offer. However, in the case of Casavo, the offer was just below my initial asking price: if they had offered me a price that was too low, I would never have accepted; I had no intention of selling off. But in reality, it wasn't a lot of money; we reached an agreement easily.
House sold successfully, in short. And now?
Now I have to buy a new house to move closer to my daughter; I'm looking around a bit. There are several options, but I've already decided I've seen a couple of properties that might be perfect for me, and I'll be looking at others in the next few days.
