The reduction covers 50% of the costs and cannot exceed 500 euros out of a maximum of 1000 euros. If, for example, you have carried out work to reduce water consumption and spent a total of 800 euros, you will receive a contribution of 400 euros to be deducted from the taxes due for 2022. If, however, the work amounts to 1,200 euros, you will receive a reimbursement of 500 euros, the maximum amount payable.
The website of the Agenzia delle Entrate specifies that the maximum reimbursement of 500 euros is due to natural persons for each property. Therefore, if you carry out the work both in your main residence and in another property you own, you will receive a reimbursement of 500 euros. you can request it twice.
Be careful, however, because the fund provided by the budget law amounts to 5 million euros for each year. This limit means that 50% coverage is not guaranteed in all cases. Who can request the drinking water bonus
The drinking water bonus can be requested for installations carried out from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.
The following can access the support measure:
- natural persons;
- commercial and institutional activities;
- businesses and activities who work in the arts and professions;
- non-profit organizations dedicated to non-profit activities and religious institutions.
For all categories other than natural persons, the incentive remains 50%, but is calculated on a maximum amount of 5,000 euros for each property and therefore covers a maximum of 2,500 euros.
How to request the drinking water bonus
