Hi Laura, can you tell us a little about your old house?
It was the family home. There were seven of us in total, my parents and five children. I lived there until I was 23. It was a beautiful, large and spacious four-room apartment, well-served, perfect for a large family like ours. I'm very attached to that apartment, obviously. All my childhood memories are linked to that house, and it's for the same reason that my father never wanted to leave it, not even when my mother passed away. Even though the house was too big for one person, he never wanted to abandon it.
What made you sell?
After my father passed away, it no longer made sense to keep the house. I've lived in Varese for years, and each of us siblings has different lives, interests, and needs. Even though we're emotionally attached to that house, it made no sense to keep it.
Had you already put the house up for sale before contacting Casavo? How long did it stay on the market?
I myself work for a real estate agency in Varese, Re-max Centro Immobiliare, so it wasn't difficult for me to put the house on the market. However, since it was a house of a certain size and size, the price was quite high, so being in the sector, I immediately understood that this could be a problem. Me and Sandra, we had to explain it and make my brothers understand, who were initially a little wary. Obviously, I was offered a lower price than what had been initially agreed upon, but the idea of being able to receive payment immediately, without having to wait for potential buyers who probably should have applied for a mortgage first, with the uncertainty of whether it would be accepted or not... let's just say it was too tempting an offer to refuse.
